Marie and hank at prom in 1964

Thirteen years ago my wife Marie and I had the good fortune to seize the opportunity to buy a piece of land that would change our lives and fulfill a lifelong dream. In 2005 we began our adventure on the Nicoyan Peninsula. Now, the time has come to downsize, and the property on which we have lavished our loving attention is being offered for sale.
Positioned 250 feet above the beaches at Playa San Miguel and Playa Bejuco in the canton of Nandayure, Casa Buena Fortuna catches the breezes at the top of the hill and provides a vista with 50 miles of coastline. The absence of commercial development affords this area the tranquility to retain its wildlife and local culture while providing the opportunity for creative self expression. This property finds the balance between simplicity and luxury. The unobstructed vistas, the miles of coastline, the sound of waves breaking on the shore from the deck, pool, and kitchen, and mountain views to the north and east provide an unparallelled immersive experience.
The spaces are generous, lending themselves to entertaining family and friends while providing privacy as well as easy proximity to common areas.
Good quality water, in abundance, satisfies a fundamental need that becomes more valuable with time.
Picture yourself here for a getaway or for a permanent change of pace. This home and this area are unique and will appeal to investors who are looking for something remote from traditional tourist routes.
Marie and I invite you to explore the possibilities by contacting us with your questions.
